I’m not naturally into fitness. I have sometimes wondered if I might be allergic to working out. Yet somehow lately I’ve found myself looking forward to my training sessions with Ian. WTF.
I’ve been training with Ian for nearly a year and have found Ian’s method of teaching, guidance and encouragement very effective and motivating. As soon as you start working out with Ian it becomes instantly clear that he really knows what he’s talking about in every aspect of health and personal fitness, from movement, nutrition, building muscle and general wellness.
Training with Ian never gets boring as he constantly varies the workout and introduces new movements and exercises. His techniques are truly effective, and while sometimes repeating a movement until you fail, it works. There’s nothing like feeling yourself getting stronger and fitter, which I’ve noticed happens quicker under Ian’s guidance than with programs I’ve tried in the past. I’ve learned from Ian that it’s better to do anything at 100% of your ability for a shorter time than 70% for twice or three times as long. I’ve also found my growth and personal development has not just been physical but also mental, in terms of breaking through barriers and pushing my body to achieve more.
I would recommend Ian to anyone who is interested in improving themselves, becoming stronger and healthier. He has a strong focus on personalisation and finding the sweet spot for each person’s differing needs and abilities. Turns out having muscles is pretty cool, which is an experience I can now recommend thanks to Ian. Even though i sometimes hate him for making me do hard stuff for what feels like hours, he is the best trainer I have worked out with and he gets results. Everyone should train with Ian – give him a go.
